About Crafty Tours Dublin

Meet Michael - Your Guide to Dublin, One Pint at a Time.

Hey there, I’m Michael 👋

I’m originally from Australia, but Dublin has been home for more than 25 years. Somewhere along the way, the cobbled streets, lively pubs, and endless pints convinced me to stay put. Can’t say I regret it.

After 30 years in the corporate world, I decided I’d had enough of meetings and PowerPoints. These days, I spend my time leading tours through some of Dublin’s best pubs, sharing good food, great beer, and the kind of stories you’ll never find in a guidebook.

Why I Started Crafty Tours

Dublin’s beer story is bigger than one brewery and one tourist strip. The city is brimming with modern craft bars, tucked-away pubs, and new breweries making waves in Ireland’s beer scene. Most travellers never find them.

That’s why I created Crafty Tours Dublin - to give curious visitors a local’s perspective.

What You’ll Get

Besides Beer

Sure, you’ll drink some brilliant pints. But you’ll also:

- Get insider tips on where to eat, drink, and shop for beer in Dublin.

- Hear anecdotes you won’t find in history books.

You can also pick up recommendations from my YouTube channel, Michael Does Lunch, where I review everything from snack bars to Michelin-star spots.

What It’s Like on

Tour

It’s relaxed. It’s fun. It’s a bit of banter mixed with a bit of history. You’ll taste brilliant beers, discover pubs you’d never have found on your own, and finish the day with a few new friends.
